You get titles from doing certain things in festivals. Have you seen the official games and contests scavenger hunts? For example; if you oppose ten things on the list at the end of the fest you will get a title.

During the current festival a few ways you can receive a title are by tending the gardens of other players, collecting all 15 Easter eggs and the special prizes in the Easter egg maze in the festival zone. In the first screen of the zone and to the right, you will see a fairy girl dressed in dark pink next to a covered wagon. Speak to her to do the Easter egg hunt. :)

Mostly during festivals, there are forum games, or stuff to do in the festival zone to get titles.
