We haven't been doing recolorables because it looks a lot nicer when we don't have to do black and white shading. Also...prices for the monthlies are dependent on how much the monthlies cost us for the artwork. Each monthly obviously varies...since each outfit is different and we pay our artists by the hour.
Higher prices reflect the amount of time it takes for the artwork to be done.

I wish we'd have color codes so we can match other items to the scheme..

I can see why coloured shading is more appealing, but I'd still think about offering a colourable option whenever you can, because most players (myself included) seem to prefer them for the versatility they give them with their outfits.

A good compromise might be to allow more of these nonrecolorables as Custom options. I know from Flute and Willow's thread that once upon a time apparently a wing item was (custom) recolorable, and that might make everybody a bit happier. Better quality shading, and better versatility. :)

These items are beautiful, but I do like the re-colorable items too. It's nice to be able to personalize them. More options for customs would be great! I know I would order some!

Thank you for the reply. c: Definitely keep the prices higher if the artist spent more time. Didn't know it was like that, but makes a lot of sense! They do a great job, so glad they are getting paid for it. :)
This is a personal opinion but,
I still would highly prefer black and white shading, because,
1. I actually prefer the quality of shading of the black and white shaded ones. I genuinely find them nicer. The re-colorable ones are overly shaded to me. ^.^''' (Both are nice of course though)
2. Re-colorableness is just more desirable. Especially because the items are outfits and not individual items, without being re-colorable, there is not enough variation with the wardrobe.
Perhaps worth doing a poll of some sort for what the users think would be best?
Because I'm just one opinion, not important in the scope of things.

I'm disappointed with the continued unavailability of either a recolourable option or the ability to recolor them as customs ourselves.
Please, please, if you're not going to make a recolor version of the main items, at least include them as possible customs! As with last month, the bases are beautiful, but I feel no desire to purchase them due to their inflexibility.
