I was thinking, why can we view themed pets, but not PB's? I always want to search for PB's, but I always remember that its not there. Could this possibly be an upgrade to the Advanced Search Krin?
Edit: My title isn't right lol. Its supposed to be *Idea for Advanced Search*

This has been suggested a few times, usually as a PB tag, but it's been noped a lot. For every PB to receive a tag, thus making it easier to keep track of and able to be searched for in the adv search, the super tiny Sylestia team would have to go through all of the pets on Sylestia and figure out which ones where PB, going down super long lines of lineage and recoding a bunch of stuff. It was hard enough to do with Starters way back when that was added.
I personally would love the ability to search for PBs, but...yeah. It would have to be done pet by pet and...yikes, we have a lot of pets on here now!

Yeah, this has pretty much consistently been shot down by Krin as being too difficult to actually do.
It seems to me that with the Lineage function it could be achieved fairly easily, but I don't do coding so I don't know how it works. It's also been suggested that tagging purebreds would somehow lessen the value of tagged pets. I don't see how, as there will always be people that value tagged over purebred, but there it is.

Well, even if we can't expect the Sylestia team to go through all of the pets there ever were, couldn't they possibly set up something so that the future themed purebred (of new themes, that is) could have an indicator? Then at least it would be easier for future searches and themes, if not the old ones.
Also, about the tagging of purebreds vs. actually tagged themed pets: they might not have a purple tag. Maybe something smaller but still there just so you know.

Passing down an indicator tag when breeding sounds doable to me. Feels like they could run a script on older pets on the side as well. May take a little while, but not forever.

There's also the problem of not all themed pets are actually tagged. The first reindeer qitaries, the first valentine bulbories and the chocolate bulbories, and all of the spring 2013 themed pets aren't tagged. I suppose the main issue would be the 2012 reindeer qitaries and the 2013 valentine bulbories. If you bred to any of those you'd still have a purebred pet that wouldn't show as purebred.
But a way to quickly identify purebreds particularly as lineages get longer and more complex is something I'd love to see.
