Hey, I'm new here and I just had a question about something I saw on my pet's profile. It was a green button and it said "Genetic Philter" What does this mean? Thanks.

That means that you can use a philter on it if you have them. Certain philters do certain things.

To expand on what Cuddly said:

There's a lot of types of philters which do various things to your pets.

Magical Pies increase its age by a few days, good if you want a hatchling to grow up quickly so you can use it for breeding.

Genetic Mutators give it a new gene or mutation. A lesser genetic mutator gives it a random hidden or visible trait; a greater genetic mutator gives it a visible trait, and you can select which trait it gets. Only tamed pets (those you found in the wild as eggs or that you trapped, or those that you bought as eggs with scales or gold) can be mutated, and they can only be mutated once.

Pet dyes change the color of a pet. A lesser pet dye is less accurate than a greater pet dye. A single pet dye can only change a single color on your pet, so you'd need like ten dyes to change all the colors on your pet. Any pet can be dyed, and they can be dyed any number of times.

Philter of Gender Swapping changes your pet from male to female or the other way around. This cannot be done if the pet has been bred before.

You will run across the dyes and mutators most on this site, and you can buy any of these from the diamond shop, I think. You can also usually find them on the trade broker, but they can be expensive for new players.

This basically means that you can change some of the genes and mutations, however normally you can't change the colors.

Dies and lesser Philters are bought in the scale shop. I don't think any of them are bought in the diamond shop.

This happens with Sylvorpas because many genes were changed in the revamp. It basically means that you can re-choose as many genes/mutations as you had genopoints. If your Sylvorpa was generated, you can also choose colors for it.
