Well this is my new windows 8 laptop. So when I hit 3 to attack, it responds, but when I click on the enemy to command the attack, it won't switch to the next pet's attack list in the festival zone.

Ah, I think I know this one! I had the same issue after getting my new laptop earlier this year. What's probably going on is that your computer isn't registering your touchpad and your keyboard at the same time, to prevent you from accidentally clicking on things and moving the mouse while typing, so it takes it a bit to adjust between the two, making keyboard-touchpad fighting hard. I suggest either getting a wireless mouse to click the enemy, or going in and changing the settings so that your computer will recognize the keyboard and the touchpad at the same time.
