I'm the stupidity person on Sylestia...and I've been on here for 400+ days... So, exactly what is magical damage? I just dont get it. >.> I always have my pets in physical damage, aside from by health tank. I never figured out what magical damage is so yeahhh....

So you know how there's Strength and Intelligence stats?

Physical damage is aided by Strength.
Magical damage is aided by Intelligence.
Both go hand in hand most of the time.

If you look in the proficiency trees, half of them (air/water/earth iirc) have strength stats. Their special lvl25/50 moves deal physical damage.
The other half (light/dark/fire) have intelligence stats, and their special lv25/50 moves deal magical damage.

So its basically what is given by a strength/intelligence stat. Whatever is the higher stat (between magical and physical damage) is the damage the pet uses.

If you hover over it, it says "how much damage Magical Abilities deal"

it's a rough number of the damage your pet does when it attacks something with one of its attacks.

One of my pets has 793 magical damage.

I would guess that, if my enemy did not have magical mitigation (stat that lowers the damage taken from magical attacks), my pet would hit them for about 793 magical damage, more or less, with a magical attack.

so...you know when you attack, and it has a number of how much damage it gives?
that's kinda what the magical damage represents.
