I am going to climb the tree, because that works pretty well in Minecraft, which i was playing earlier. :P

The blue light is totally something that's going to turn me into a potato, and the path might just go in circles.

B: Follow the path through the dark forest.

While I would normally wait until it were morning for more light, I suspect moving along is a better option. Who knows who or what brought me to the place in the forest, so climbing the tree might end up to being captured/spied on by someone nearby.

The light reminds me very strongly of the Will O' Wisp, which in lore and fantasy, more often than not, leads directly to death. So while I'd keep an eye on it, I would not be following it.

It'd be nice to find a branch to carry, as something for defense...if need be. :P

I agree with Esylana. I got lost in the woods at night with a friend once and she told me we had to stay put instead of move on so we could wait til it was lighter. Luckily she had a phone at the time and her parents found us ._.

Though because 'stay put' is not an answer, I choose C. There wouldn't randomly be light in the forest unless someone maybe dropped something like a flashlight or a lantern. Which wouldn't be a downside either because you would have light to search through the forest. The most likely reason of light though would probably be a house, civilization, or a street light.

You did not mention if it was light or dark out. If it was light out I would probably follow the path, since the path is obviously there for a reason(unless made by an animal).

My answer is still C though. It's more reliable than the others.

The reason is because I could find a person willing to share their fire with me, which would be awesome. Or I could find something that is going to chase me and kill me, either way it is fun to see what happens. Maybe it will lead me to a friendly ryori who helps me out the forest and becomes my friend and partner. OMG, I just thought back a second what if it leads me to my fate or a way to change my fate like in Brave, that would be awesome. Anyways I just need to see what that light is, curse my curiosity but what would I do without it. It leads to the unknown.

I like that reasoning! I dressed up as Merida for Halloween, so I watched Brave like 20 times.
