On the heels of my suggestion to be able to favorite threads, I was wondering if it would be possible / feasible to maybe break down the Pet Auction forum. As it stands now, there are:

Wheel Pet Auctions
Wheel Pet Sales
Wheel Pet Trades
Wheel Pet Offspring Auctions
Wheel Pet Offspring Sales
Wheel Pet Offspring Trades
Themed Auctions
Themed Sales
Themed Trades
Themed Offspring Auctions
Themed Offspring Sales
Themed Offspring Trades
Regular pet Auctions
Regular pet Sales
and sometimes Regular Pet Trades

Oh, I forgot the mojo pets too...

I know I may seem like I'm exaggerating but honestly, there are a LOT of categories. Some people just put up "Hey, I have pets for sale, come look" and some are doing an auction. I'm not faulting any one or anything, I just would love to see maybe separate forums. I know that there are some sticky threads, and I think that's pretty awesome, but maybe we could have like:

Pet Auctions
Pet Sales
Pet Trades

or

Tagged Auctions
Tagged Sales
Pet Auction and Sales

*cries* Just something to be able to wade through the enormous amount of writing. Because when I post my lame, non-themed, non-special pet up for auction and I KNOW it can't compete with the auction for the Mojo ryori above and the Wheel Lighira below, I get bummed.

I could go on with how beneficial separate forums would be, but I think I'd just be repeating myself. When you guys made the Custom Item Sales and Discussion forum and pulled the plethora of threads from the Item Auctions forum, it really helped and cleaned things up. That's all I'm asking for with the Pet Auctions. Please. Pretty please.

I'm more for the second setup, between regular pets (just plain pets, no need to say regular) and tagged. Maybe if it was demanded, a subforum WITHIN tagged forum for everything breeders ever want to categorize their pets.

I kinda wonder if instead of breaking down the forums further if an actual auction house added to the game for selling pets which is searchable would be easier in the future. The auction house could be set up where it could be just for however much gold or diamonds, or set up for people to set up offers from which the seller can choose from.

But as far as the current situation goes, I'm not sure. Having it broken down would at least make it where people don't have to be bumping their thread quite so much. It's just how to settle threads that might contain multiple different categories. Maybe between actual auctions where people are bidding and ones where people are just listing pets for sale, trading, or looking for offers. Maybe pet buying could be separated as well? So that would be a breakdown into Pet Auctions, Pet Sales, Pet Buying?

Personally would like to see a separate forum for themed pets and non-themed pets.
It would make things a lot easier to find pets, especially for those looking for/ selling non-themed pets, as those threads are the ones that are hardest to find currently with the multiple threads selling/trading/auctioning themed/wheel/mojo pets.


I don't think it's necessary or effective to split the forums into too many categories. Many people put their themed pets up for sale and trade (depending on offers). People sell their tagged themed with purebred offspring. People sell wheel and themed together. People sell pets and announce the pets they want to buy in the same post too (usual couples with trading). There are multiple mixtures of categories of pets that are usually put into one post, so the user does not need to make and maintain multiple threads, and can make deals with a mixture of pets as well.

So I think the current pet sale forum should be split into two, namely the themed pet sale forum, and the non-themed pet sale forum, and I think that would be the most efficient. =)
