So, I was in a battle and I came across this Faelora and it says it's rare but it has no visibles (unless I'm just not seeing it) so why is this rare?

It has multiple carries. The rarity isn't based on vis, it's based on GP. So it has multiple carries. You would have to use a scanner, or catch it and test it, to find out what it has. :)

GP is Genotype points. You will see these change in the generator when you create a new pet using essences.

Every carry on a pet is 1 GP
Every visible is 2gp.

So in the new pet fighting system, assume the following -

(common) White Star - 0 GP (no carries or vis)
(uncommon) Green Star - 1 GP (1 carry)
(rare) Blue Star - 2 GP (1 vis OR 2 carries)
(epic) Purple Star 4 GP (2 vis OR 4 carries, OR 1 vis + 2 carries)
(legendary) Orange Star - 5 GP (2 vis + 1 carry OR 1 vis + 3 carries OR five carries)
(mythical) Red Star - 6 GP (3 vis, OR 2 vis + 2 carries, OR 1 vis + 4 carries, OR 6 carries)

Oh my that actually makes sense. I've always wondered what those stars meant. Thanks so much! I hope you don't mind me asking these questions. I have one last one- at what level do I encounter epics, legendaries, and mythicals? I haven't seen any of those yet and my highest pet is 52.

Edit: Sorry, I have another -.- I'm annoying I know. What does it mean when they have three white stars? You said that meant 0 gp so I don't understand that.

No worries at all, I'm happy to help.

You can encounter those pets at any level but keep in mind that the more GP they have, the rarer and harder to find they will be. In almost a year here I have run into only two red star pets and a small handful of orange star pets.

Also, to catch an orange or red star pet, you must have a red trap, which can be obtained from the diamond shop, or bought off other players. They are quite expensive.

The number of stars indicates how strong they are. Their stats are higher if they have more stars. :)
