Well this is embarrassing... Uh... What is/are AP? And what do you use it/them for? x

There's no need to be embarassed. =) Everyone has questions, and the community here is generally nice and friendly, we won't bite. =P

AP = advancement points. You get them through missions, exploring (and maybe nurturing, and breeding? not too sure about that). You can also get AP by voting daily for sylestia, by clicking the link at the top of the page (in the old format, eg map page).
Basically, the more you play the game, the more AP you'll have.

AP is mainly used to buy items in the wardrobe. If you browse through the wardrobe, some items will have AP on the top right corner of its box. That means you can use AP to buy that item. To buy, click on the item, and it'll ask if you want to pay in AP or diamonds, click AP.

AP is also required to unlock certain features in the game. Currently, you need 10k AP (I think) to be able to use stablehands in your stable. (click on your face in the stable page to get to stablehands). That amount does not need to be what you currently have, but the amount of AP you have collected in all.

They are Advancement Points(AP), they are used to get things from the wardrobe like hair styles, eye styles, ect.
