You know what would be great? A button on every thread asking you if you wanted to be automatically pinged every time someone posted. I think this would help everyone a lot especially when you are in a auction or waiting for a reply on something your selling. sometimes if you are rpg-ing and its your turn to write but your not pinged this button could be very useful. I feel like this button would make things easier for a lot of sylestians. Maybe someone was auctioning off a pet but didn't want people to be automatically pinged- maybe they could decide wether or not other users had the option! I understand this could blow up notifications but what if instead of the notification showing separate ping it would say the name of the thread and put the number of pings in parentheses next to it

Support. This would also be helpful for when people don't read that the person wants to be pinged or for when users are new and haven't discovered how the Ping system works. Plus, it would make it so that people don't have to double post because they forgot to ping. As a poster, I wouldn't mind having this option in threads that I want to keep track of, like project threads.

So basically a thread subscribe button that you could click to be subscribed to that thread if you so choose, and then it would ping you whenever someone posts? Sounds good to me, another site I play on has that option and it's wonderful.
