It's often bothered me how many things change with the eye color. I often use the eye color as an accent, to offset the rest of the design, but when major parts of the overall visuals are changed too, it limits the designs severely, forcing the eye to be something that fits smoothly multiple places, instead of being allowed to be a slight offset.
Therefore, I propose adding a new color to the genetic code: Accent Color. It would take over all the places that currently use eye color (except the eye itself, of course.)
For example, with only the eye color non-white:
The increasing trend toward eye color integration concerns me greatly. That's quite a lot of color, a considerable amount of the overall design, that dictates what the color of the eye must be in order to maintain the desired appearance.
Here I've edited them to have contrasting eye colors, leaving the others as accents:

I have no idea how possible this would be to do, but if it was possible, I definitely support. I often make projects that are based off of characters, and I always have the eye color matching, so something like a purple and black design can be completely thrown off if the character the project is based off has green eyes, for example.

I often run into this problem as well and support this idea greatly. Sometimes you want the color of the eye to pop but this is almost impossible with the covering of the sylesti that comes with coloring the eye. The eye color can mess with the colors of the visuals and could throw a project idea off course. Please make this change if possible! The accent would be great like a titch of color that is desired instead of unintentional like the coloring of the eye- Thank You.

I don't support. 10 Colors is more than enough in my opinion, adding another one, even though it sounds like a decent idea, seem like a bit of a pain. Plus, several of the pets you can barely even see the eyes anyway so just having a single color for that spot seems like a waste...

This is an interesting idea and something we will think about. I wouldn't expect it anytime soon though, even if we do decide to add it, as it would be a huge ordeal to implement.
