Is there a reason why pets can't get higher than level 60? Will that change at some point?

I'm assuming it's a level cap. A lot of games that support battle-style play have level caps.
Pokemon caps at 100.
World of Warcraft used to cap at 80, not sure where it is now...
Sylestia just caps at 60.

As mentioned it does cap at 60 for now c:
Eventually as we get more areas to explore this level cap will increase.

And to be more precise, the final cap will be at 250, but only when all zones are unlocked~ :3
Since this game it's still in construction, the Admins made the current cap 60, so when they unlock the next zone, we won't be over-powerfull and be bored of the game too fast~ X3
