I'm sure some of the longer time players, like myself, have collected up numerous Badges over time, and have sold many.
Was just wondering about the possibility of any new items that can be bought with Badges being released there at some time in the future.

This is something I'd like to see as well. Another thought is introducing a sylesti that can only be bought with the badges for Saerielle like how the puffadores are sold in Ethernia. But the Strong Restore Elixir IIs that can be bought in the Armory via badges aren't too bad at least if you're low on Strong Restore Elixir IIIs.

I am pretty confident in saying that when that region is revamped, there will be some new goodies available from Saerielle.

Thats great news!
I was just looking at the armor accessories there in Town Hall, and nothing there is offered having the Agility trait boosted.
Only:
Strength - Dexterity (Physical Damage Runic)
Intelligence - Dexterity (Magical Damage Runic)
Maybe armor accessories offering the other combinations as well :)
