I spin yarn/thread. I am currently the only person I know (in real life and on the pet games I play) who does. I also weave and occasionally knit. I make my own supplies (spindles, tapestry style weaving frames, etc) and I am currently cleaning/brushing out some wool that I dyed. I have spun silk, wool, cotton, and some of my cat's downy underfur (which is actually better for felting rather than spinning).

Do you have a hobby that most people think is weird or uncommon? I know I'm not the only one.

I don't have any weird or *uncommon* hobbies but no one in my class likes what I do in fact I'm usually..... teased about it my hobbies are drawing and reading oh and I love soccer. *very common*. It's what I draw and read that people don't like- if I draw something creepy people make fun of it and tease me. Even if I draw something normal people are passive-aggressive about details and stuff. When I read the Hunger Games most people say "your weird" or *that's just disgusting why would you do that" or "well that's stupid" Thought I would share my hobbies to get the topic stared :) Hope this isn't too off-topic Evee. My uncommon hobby would be characters. :O

I love looking into existing characters, creating characters, creating unique character designs, attempting to get into a characters head and attempting to figure out what they would do in any given situation. I'll not go on a tangent about it or anything, but pretty much obsessing over characters that I find interesting is a pretty odd hobby.

A couple of years ago I got into baking. While that itself isn't necessarily unusual, the type of baking I do certainly seems to be. I bake entirely from scratch (or as much as possible); no mixes, no bread machines, etc. I picked it up basically out of boredom when I decided I wanted to learn how to make bread. Spent a week reading then just went for it. Not only did it make my house smell fantastic, I discovered I have a knack for baking. Been at it ever since. I'm still inexperienced but with all of the resources available these days it's quite easy to figure out what went wrong on a particular recipe and how to correct it for next time. The biggest obstacle I've been running into right now is a lack of tools in my kitchen; I'm not much of a cook so I just have a random assortment of hand-me-downs that I've been slowly upgrading and adding to over the years. Finally just getting my first baking stone this week, actually. While you need next to nothing to start out (literally just a mixing bowl, a cookie sheet and an oven, and even the cookie sheet is optional), it's quite the rabbit hole later on.

As far as what I actually make, right now I do breads and cookies almost exclusively, with an occasional quickbread or something thrown into the mix. As I live alone it's rather impractical to make much else, though I plan on expanding to pies for social gatherings, and pastries once I'm more experienced. Kind of meh on cakes and cupcakes for a variety of reasons, but we'll see.

I find it really relaxing, honestly, and there are few things better than the smell of fresh baking. I've even decided to decorate my kitchen/dining area with an improv cafe/bakery style because of it.

Uncommon hobby? Well, I've got some...interesting ones lol!
I ride horses, basically all the crazy little exercises people see me doing are in some way, shape, or form, strengthening the muscles I use to ride. I spend most of my days at the stables, messing around with my own two babies, working, training, training others! xD
And when I come home, I sit down and do...Book work. .-. It's ridicules, how much I enjoy figuring out how much I've spent, how much I have, how much I can still spend before I go broke for the month. XD I don't even like math! Or, if I don't want to do book work, I've been teaching myself coding. It's really fun, if brain taxing lol.
And some more common things I like to do are draw, and write. <3 It's nice to just sit and doodle, or make an entire world of words.

Here's nothing wrong with weaving and stuff. Lots of people do it. I don't, but I know a bunch if people who do that aren't like 70. XD

Uh, I don't really have any... Well, I'm not sure researching random things is a weird hobby, but hey! XD

I'd go on Wikipedia, borrow an Encyclopedia or something and read away. XD I don't care what I was reading. If I didn't know a word, I'd use a dictionary. XD
