Pet profiles is one of the developments Krin intends to implement within the next three months. His comment there is rather vague towards what revamps the page will get, but I do believe that mini profiles are on the table and also the genealogy button will finally be added which means we can view the family trees of our pets (which will be better than the current having to click the parents and the grand parents pages [etc]).
