That was the last thing you remember. Once you clicked that little red 'x', you blacked out. According to witnesses, it was like magic, you were just sucked into the computer, with nothing remaining. After exactly 11:00, any player that tried to get out of Sylestia was instantly absorbed into their monitor. During that first hour, over 100 people were gone. However, no other players knew about the dangers, so soon thousands of people disappeared without a trace. People were getting worried, and the admins seemed to have dropped off the face of the Earth.
You awake in a strange barn-like place, with little boxes arranged in rows. Upon further inspection, you see the "boxes" are filled with the pets you own on the site! You even look different; just like your avatar you made!
At first, living in a fantasy world seemed awesome. Then the realities of living in such a dangerous place hit you and other players hard.....

Yeah. I know. Really weird. But this concept could be interesting. Have you ever imagined how actually owning battle pets would be like? How traumatizing it would be to see your companions get the snot beaten out of them nearly ever day? Breeding animals for their visuals and selling the ones that don't meet your expectations? I find this intriguing. Think NGE and Madoka, but for Pet Sites.
I am not trying to insult anyone. Heck, I do the things I listed above. And before anyone asks, the admins ARE NOT the cause of the RPG's plot. I'm thinking more of a magical villain.
You don't have to play as "yourself" if you have an avatar the opposite of your actual gender, feel free to make an OC to fit it more. That is what I am doing.
In this RPG, you live in a little house. The Stables is a short walk away, while the Hatchery is right outside your house. The World Map is a means of teleporting, and the little chat on the bottom of the screen can be pulled up with a flick of your fingers. (Think like in SAO- http://swordartonline.wikia.com/wiki/File:Sword_art_online_10_12.png)
