Up until now, we have been mostly returning player's accidentally released pets. Unfortunately, the requests are becoming so numerous that it's becoming difficult to keep up.

Since the demand for such a feature is obviously there, we will be adding a self-restore feature to the pet profile page when it's revamped (sometime hopefully before the Summer Festival). This feature will allow players to restore any pet that they released for a fee (if it were free, it could easily be abused).

In the meantime, I will no longer be returning lost pets to players. So please be careful and if you have a pet that you like, either name it to avoid it being auto-released from the option or just simply move it to your stables manually.

Thank you.

That is great idea :) Hopefully this'll make it easier on the staff and everyone will think twice before pressing release.

I like the idea but I have a few questions about this. In regards to pets with other people as the original owner.

Say I buy an egg from someone in a swap or something. But that accidentally gets released. Is the fee/buy back (sorry I can't see any other way to word it) does that work only for the person who released it. OR is it possible for the original owner to pay the fee and get it back also?

The question originates from the fact (I mean it's been a very long time since I had these pets) but I never remember naming any of my lupora 'Beautiful Mightyena' but one appears under my released pets which I believe to be an offspring I sold.

For this I can see problems arising. Personally I think it would be easier to add in addition to this instead of the pet's info saying:

Current Owner: This Sylesti has been released.

make it say Current Owner: (name) This Sylesti has been released.

OR

Current Owner: This Sylesti has been released by (name)

Linking the pet only to the one that released it so only that person can bring it back into the game.

Unless people would have to pay higher gold or how ever to buy back pets will be to allow anyone to buy back any pet ever released which I can see being abused even more when the ncp you plan on adding to the scale shop to buy pets.

For this I can see a positive side, as I've seen several people breeding pets to mine and the pet they owned at the time being released by the time I see it, and it's not always a pet they owned from the start.

sorry if this doesn't make sense I'm only half awake >.< I'm just worried this could be abused though I like the idea of having the staff running around saving the pets people accidently release

For awhile now, it's kept proper track of who last owned the pet. But when I first made the new table, I had no real way of doing that so it was tied to original owner.

When the system is enabled, it will be based on whoever released the pet - not who the original owner is.
