What events are considered a 'holiday'? I know of the solstice/seasonal festivals, but does Week of Love count?
Reason I ask is because I had opened a Golden Eggling the day the week had started, and I can't remember what I had gotten, but it wasn't anything special, and it was before the release of the new Avatar items and the opening of the Festival Zone, so now I wonder if I had wasted the opportunity to even gain anything holiday related...

I remember advising on this before, that this is an iffy subject, but it's set by Krinadon himself whether a certain list is on Golden Egglings or not.
So if in doubt, I would PM Krinadon. c: He's pretty helpful about it himself.
