Which specific currency? I'll do a little overview and ask me more if you need clarification.
Gold is mostly gained by sending your pets on missions in the towns like Esior's Haven. Diamonds are real-money based but can be bought with gold from other players on the currency exchange. Scales are from nurturing hatchlings and eggs, easiest by going to the nurturing grounds. AP is mostly tied to battle content. Gold is the main currency for pretty much everything, so starting to work on missions is a really good idea.

Also, I'm happy to give you 10k gold to help you get started. Buying more party or mission slots would be my recomendation since they should help you make progress. There's no direct way to send gold, so if you want it you will need to send me an item from your inventory with a cash on delivery (CoD) fee. People usually do this with fairy mushrooms obtained by exploring because the mushrooms are pretty useless otherwise.
