I find it mildly annoying that plants etc. can still turn out to get a hidden despite adding no splicer.

To me during projecting, when I aim for certain traits, hiddens are rather inconvenient, so I rarely add them. If I wanted a hidden trait, I would have added a splicer, so I want to suggest removing that possibility.

I never noticed it before, but you're right, they do!
I think that I would prefer that they only get an hidden carry if one used a splicer, they're not super hard to put your hands on after all
And I say that as someone that loves hidden carries, I put splicers on most the pets I like while they grow.

It's either that or we get a chance of using a Null Philter to cancel hidden carries instead of removing the whole trait?
It would add use to the Null Philter and stick to its "removing unwanted traits" fonction.

I think part of that is because of the bonus they get as we keep adding the agents, no? I think most species (non majestics) get 2 bonuses, and I think bonus1/2 is a stat boost, and bonus 2/2 is the extra carried trait, iirc. And the majestics just get 2 stat bonuses instead of an extra carried trait.

I don't mean the carried trait that comes from the 2/2 bonus, I mean hidden traits on visible ones like for this girl:




She got G1 hidden Muddy, and is not the only one of my pets who ended up with a hidden trait despite adding no splicer :(

Ohh I see.. hm.. that is definitely unfortunate :c I only add splicers at the end of fests when I am in a panic to get any missing traits for projects xD Otherwise, I prefer not to use them as well. I don't like having to mess with hidden traits if I don't have to. That's just unnecessary additional RNGesus ^^'

I agree. I have always hated the random hiddens that can occur with all of the grow/sculpted/boiled pets. If I want a hidden, I would use a splicer. Most of the time I have no desire to have hidden traits. It would be great if the random hiddens could be removed just for the pets we make.
