It would be cool if we could implement a mass salvage feature in the blacksmith. Something where you could salvage all exotic gear, all vinethorn, etc.

Hi, Cub!
This feature would only work in the Lost Grove portion of the game, which you'll unlock later. Right now to salvage equipment you have to select each one and salvage them individually which, when you have 30+ pieces of gear, can take a while. The feature I'm suggesting would be a button to salvage them all at the same time. :)
