For many weeks now, when I attempt to log in on alternate Monday mornings (after the universal autologout), the site will not let me back in using my old password. I get a message that I've entered incorrect information, which I have not done. The email address is correct and I go to great lengths to make certain the password is perfect. The last two occasions I copy-pasted the correct password into the password space, having previously verified that the space will, in fact, accept a copy-pasted password. I still get a message that I've entered incorrect information. So I go though the necessary rigamarole to reset my password, log in, and reset to the exact same password I've used since I created this account.

When I use the correct email address and correct password, I ought to be able to log in. This is a glitch.

I feel like I have encountered players having this issue before. And, if I can remember correctly, I think the likely culprit is some weird symbol issues with Apple devices. Like, using @ (or one of the symbols) in your password when creating it creates a different hash than using that same symbol, but on a different device. And then it results in a different hash, which will say incorrect password.

Is it possible this could be the situation?

I don't think so. I literally own no Apple devices of any kind, and I only play Sylestia on my desktop PC. My browser is Firefox, if that helps. Sylestia has only been doing this for the past six or maybe eight weeks--that is, the past three or possibly four auto-logouts.

Hm. The only next step I can take is to have you PM me some specifics about your password. Obviously, I don't want your actual password lol. But PM me any special characters that you may be using. You can just exclude any alphanumerical characters as I am sure they aren't the issue (A-Z and 0-9). Also, let me know how many characters long your password is - this might be a length mismatch issue.

I don't think I will be able to figure out much else without testing this for myself and trying to reproduce the issue.
