I know it'd be a lot of work, but I think we really need different art for adolescents. Not much needs to be changed, just a slightly different pose? Especially with moving babies into stables, it becomes so so hard to keep track of who's adolescent and who's adult. I can't be the only breeder that finds themself obsessively clicking through adolescent after adolescent to see if any grew up while I wasn't looking. But I do understand this would take a whole lot of artist hours, to make new bases, redraw every trait, etc... maybe just something to think about for the future?
But I also think it'd just be so fun to have two more poses for each species. You can show off even more species personality! I think we all want to see a sassy teen Ny'vene :)

support! i would love new art to represent one of their life stages. ^^
i also have to check my pets to see if they're adolescents or adults, its not the most convenient when i'm trying to breed for projects >.>

Unfortunately, this is pretty much impossible. The amount of artwork hours required for this would be in the many thousands.

Would there be any room for a compromise such as a symbol you can see from your stables for adolescent pets so they're easier to differentiate from adults? This would be helpful and solve the problem without the impossible task of new art

Perhaps. However, Adolescents and Adults are the same in every way except Adults can breed, of course. Are you just wanting an indicator if a pet can breed or not?

(Hope you don't mind the ping, I'm not sure if you want to be pinged when you're directly addressed or not ^^') Honestly if that's the only difference I'm wondering why there's adolescents at all... I guess literally just to push back breeding?
But yeah, a symbol would also do the trick for us breeders! Maybe it could replace the recovering symbol? It could become an overarching "cannot breed" symbol for recovering, adolescent, and infertile pets. In that case it could be an X'd out egg or heart? It is sad that we wouldn't get that extra personality, but I totally understand the ridiculous hours it'd take. (But if you want to... maybe you could at least outsource pose ideas so us player artists :* ...)

Yeah exactly! Just something to make it easier to tell which pets are ready for breeding vs if they're still growing. Or like Snowydays suggested a general unable to breed symbol.

This is why I leave my adolescent pets in my hatchery. When they pop into my stables, I know they are ready to breed.
A symbol of some sort would be nice, it just needs to be different from the the infert symbol. If they are the same, that could cause a lot of confusion with people purchasing pets. Adolescents not being bought because people think they are infertile or infertile pets being bought with the plans to breed.
