When doing a regen (examptle Ny'Vene) can you use restricted traits

what traits a pet can regen depends on what the species is (rather, when along the revamp timeline the species revamp occurred*), and on the individual pet (what traits, trait slots, or TP it had prior to the revamp).
In the case of restricted traits, a pet can only ever regen with them if they already had that specific trait prior to the species revamp.


(* save very specific circumstances pets can only ever regenerate with traits that were available before their revamp (basically the only exception being the lunemara's g2, which only HAD one trait prior to their revamp, giving regen access to three of the new g2 traits) and the flexibility and limits of regen have altered over time)

(eg, ny'vene can regen any pre-revamp traits (discounting Res traits unless they had them already), lupora had traits that didn't shift/change much locked in, nytes can mostly only regen with the traits they had prior to revamp but do allow for hiddens to be kept)
