"The Easter Egg Hunt is available to all players. However, players must have fully unlocked a region before being able to unlock any clues for that region. Your log page will tell you what you need to unlock in order to receive more clues. If you have already unlocked The Ancient Temple inside the Lost Grove, then you will already be able to obtain all 29 clues."
So if you haven't unlocked the temple, you can't get all the clues or complete the hunt? That's what I'm reading it as. Please help me understand it if I'm wrong.
There are 5 tiers for the Egg Hunt:
1. Viridian Meadows
2. Umbra Forest
3. Astryl's Vale + Untamed Forest of the Lost Grove
4. Forgotten Caverns of the Lost Grove
5. Ancient Temple of the Lost Grove
So, yes, if you don't have access to the locations for a tier, you won't be able to find those Easter Eggs until you unlock them. The Egg Hunt will auto load so that it only gives you clues for Easter Eggs you can find up until you hit your limit - at which point you'll have to progress further to unlock the next tier.

Yes. That is correct.
That is how the Easter Egg Hunt has always been set up. With any game, there has to be rewards for players who devote time to reaching end-game level content. If everything were easy for a brand new player to achieve, it would not retain very much value and there would not be much motivation to progress forward.
There are still plenty of rewards for newer players to achieve and if they can't achieve everything this go-around, there will always be next year to try again.

Generally, themed pet prices tend to get lower as events go on and there's no guaranteed set price that a themed pet is. At the start of a festival/event when there are few to little of a themed pet, prices will be higher because there are so few. By the end of a festival or event, there are usually a lot of pets in circulation and so prices lower because many players already have at least one of them.

By finding and combining eggs (possible chance), by finding the egg icons that appear on randomly loaded pages (possible chance) or buying them from the diamond shop as stated in the opening post.
