Rather Yikes to not have glasses as just a default option and is just one of many things that feels disability hostile from function to accessibility to visibility and representation. We won't even get into the lack of mobility assistance representation on -every- dress-up site, much-less this one. But this is like one of the only ones I've not seen uh. Glasses. For. I found one whole glasses item and it's all.. weird. And expensive.
Like. Is my need for vision assistance garish for you?? I continue to be flabbergasted the longer I try to be here. Still waiting on those privacy features and the color coded nurturing KEYWORDS to match the buttons, too while staring into the middle-distance with increasing feelings of alienation, isolation, and hopelessness.

It's not hostile to not have glasses as a default avatar item. This seems like a genuine reach to claim hostility to not have glasses or other disability aids as a default. It really just seems like a reach.
There are a lot of things not default. My natural hair isn't a default style. That doesn't mean it's intended to erase me or be hostile.
I wear glasses just to see. I literally cannot function properly without them. I have never once, ever, though it to be "hostile" for them to not be a default option.
You can simply just...ask for glasses and other avatar representation. People who don't use certain things don't think of them automatically when creating games like this. Just ask nicely and be patient.
The beauty of games like this is that multiple people come together to create the different visions within. For example, the custom items and different combinations that is people's avatars.
It takes enough people asking politely for something major for it to be brought to the forefront of priority, especially when you're asking a business that needs to prioritize things like safety, features, and stability. That's not even to speak of how long art and coding will take for things like wheelchairs.
I would love to see other representation, but posts like this really don't help with progress.
Being accusatory isn't the way to go.

If you dislike this game so much, why stay and complain?

I agree with EvilNapkin. It seems like you've just been unhappy the entire time you've been here. It might not be the game for you.

Agreeing with Evil and Eevee. It's not "hostile" here toward disabled folks. More accessibility is great and I'm happy to advocate for it as it also benefits me (as a disabled person!). But I stop short at accusing the admin of hostility. Krin has bent over backwards the last week or so to put more accessibility into the game and I have no doubt he'll add more, or assist someone else in creating a new add on with those very features.
While also tending to current events and creating more things for us to do in game.
Just have a little patience, please.

I have to be honest here, and I'm sorry for the long response. Because this will be long. Ever since the incident as I'll call it, you seem to be very hostile about various things. As someone who is considered legally blind (not actually blind, but Im not aloud to drive at night due to my astigmatism and very, very poor eyesight without my glasses) not having glasses as an option never really bothered me. I like people not knowing that I have to wear glasses or I can't function. I see you almost daily complaining about how this game isn't good at being accessible to disabled people (which is a valid concern,) and how you don't even know WHY you're still here. And yet I'm wondering why you keep coming back on. You could easily leave or take a break for a while and come back in a few years (I myself did this, and it was a good choice.) I'm honestly a little bit scared to interact with you when you write these very hostile posts, because I'm scared you'll start coming at me with hostility for saying anything. Hostility won't solve anything, and I think, personally, from how you've been talking, taking a break from the site for maybe even a month (it doesn't have to be long) would be quite good for you. I'm sorry if this came off as rude, I wasn't trying to be, just putting my two cents out there.

I agree with the rest of them. Ever since you came on the site you have picked it apart. The admins have done their best to understand and implement requests by those with disabilities but I think this is taking it a little too far. I understand you have disabilities since you repeatedly put it in every single post you make (which isnt necessary at all) but at the same time it isnt appropriate to lean on that as a crutch. There are probably a ton of people on here with disabilities but they are here to relax and play a game. Youve said repeatedly that you are uncomfortable and dont feel safe. To be completely honest.. you make me very uncomfortable and unsafe with the hostility and the way you are always so negative. It triggers *my* personal mental issues. If you cant find satisfaction in the game, then the game is not for you and I would suggest moving on to something that suits you better.

Just to chime in on the actual originally posted topic, or at least the main one as highlighted by the subject of this thread, that is actually something that we have plans to eventually implement. However, it is much more complicated than just simply adding glasses as an item.
We want to add a 'Face' category for Avatars. This requires changing the code for dozens of places throughout the Site as now there will be an additional category of Avatar Items needing to be accounted for. Additionally, we will have to retroactively adjust many existing Head items to splice out their 'Face' parts into the new category and then create new items for those specific 'Face' parts. Lastly, we will have to update the interface for the Wardrobe to accommodate another category. This may especially cause some issues as we are kind of running out of space for additional categories in the interface.
We actually planned on doing this last fall or early winter - whenever we added those Head items with the glasses recently, but there just wasn't sufficient time to do the whole process.
It should go without saying, but the lack of glasses has absolutely nothing to do with your concerns highlighted in your post. I, myself, am prescribed glasses and have to either wear contacts or glasses every waking moment or I cannot do anything. I have poor eyesight and suffer from astigmatisms in both of my eyes. The lack of glasses is just purely a coding/technical reason and nothing more. We would love to add a 'Face' category for Avatars and greatly expand on items to further allow players to express themselves through their Avatars than they can already.
In regards to the other comments that you keep repeating throughout the Forums, as others have stated, I don't really know what else to offer you. I have been clocking 60+ hours every week for the past month working on as many things as I can possibly manage. I can only do so much in a given week. Regarding your privacy concerns, I truly have no idea what you are really specifically concerned with. The only information available to anyone on Sylestia is information that you publicly post about yourself and freely give/announce to others. If you have further concerns, you and anyone else are always welcomed to send me a PM and I will do the best I can to accommodate.
