Here we are!

Ooh, I love protector-behind-the-scenes characters! Meshing the two ideas from my post would be a lot of fun to see, but it's not necessary if it doesn't fit your character. I think them working together against the outside threat would be interesting, especially with them start off on the wrong foot after the accidental trespassing. Ahlai doesn't act too rude towards other guardian spirits without being provoked, but infringement definitely counts! And the accidental part might make it worse because it sounds like he thought it was unimportant. :eyes:

The sheet is very helpful, and I'll get to work one for Ahlai, though it'll probably be up tomorrow instead of today. It'll come with some ideas for the threat too, just wanna gather my thoughts a bit first!

Sorry, I got busy, so I haven't been able to put the sheet or plot ideas up yet! It should blow over soon, so I'll try to have them out by the end of the week.

Appearance:
Ahlai possesses a circular face with a rounded chin and a prominent brow ridge. Her eyebrows frame a pair of large, dark eyes that glow gold when using light magic, and her hair trickles down over strong shoulders, a bark-brown river of soft curls. A circlet woven of ivy and hard-light pearls sits atop her head, often accompanied by a cool, decisive bearing.

Personality:
Confidence seeps from her like moisture from the sea. Ahlai claims attention like a birthright and wields it with quick finality; decisions are quickly made to an unbending inner-law and carefully carried out with ruthless efficiency. Shes emotional and easily-amused, building logical defenses on personal whims, though she never strays into directly harming her own work or people.

Likes:
A relaxed nighttime, perched up high where its easiest to see her work. A slow, heated bath, something that she would never get to enjoy without her ascendence.

Dislikes:
Snow, beautiful but deadly to many of her citizens. Theatre, Ahlai's never good at staying still if she doesn't have something to plot over.

History:
Originally a firefly, Ahlai managed to gather enough magic to become a spirit numerous years ago. She established an abode in the forest, studiously examining the many uses of her light. Her ideas were nurtured during this time as she watched her surroundings, aware but unable to effect. As her power grew, she would establish boundaries with baubles of light, defending her territory with deadly skill. Her control grew along with her kingdom until she grew to become a guardian of the forest. Her laws ban predation, regulate construction, and limit immigration, creating a land of plenty and peace.

As for the threat, here's some brainstorming! I'd love to her your thoughts or other suggestions.
An illness has fallen over the forest, and it begins as a cooperation to avoid famine, grows into something that saps the energy of some of the inhabitants, and, possibly, spreads to one of them?
A group of refugees arrive and there's disputes of how to take care of them. There's issues, they get worked out, and people get attached before the cause shows up on the horizon?
Invaders come calling. Something incapacitates one of them and forces them to rely on the other for help to reclaim their land and protect their people?

Freyen looks like fun! Loving the dichotomy between the deer and the hunter, though his dislike of artificial rules and Ahlai's gift for creating them might lead to a few sparks lol. Trespassing isn't real, Freyen, territory boundaries are just illusionary lines created by the mind. Except maybe in the forest, where everything has scent markers and a strong sense of smell.

Invaders sound good to me! I'm probably missing something, but I think we're ready to get started! Would you like to write the first post, or should I?
