Noticed this with myself and a few others, at a certain point in the lost grove you reach a spot where you no longer need to buy grove mats and they just stack up to near cap along with tokens. Was thinking maybe to introduce a sort of monthly shop where you could buy other kinds of items for grove tokens, but at a high price so that it's only really worthwhile if you don't need anything else from grove. I think this would provide a good incentive to continue with grove even if you've cleared all the main content.

Was also thinking for this shop that it could potentially include trait scrolls, aside from elemental rikki ones, the odds of finding the species with the vis trait for extraction you want can be ridiculously low, for example at this moment only 8 extractable qitaris exist with the floral fairy wings trait, massive pain for anyone who would want to add that trait to a project while preserving their PB tag. The token prices would of course be quite high to help preserve the rarity, and the scrolls could even be non tradeable to discourage flooding the market since they couldn't just be tossed on the broker, but I feel like this would be very beneficial for grove replay ability, to add in an incentive for people who are more project oriented to farm the grove a bit to get those traits they want.

Minor addition:
After reading Scath's comment, perhaps something along the lines of having 4 species trait scroll sets available each month, that way you could make each show up twice a year, maybe make all available during black friday as well. This way even if someone only wanted one species it would be more manageable than trying to farm a ton of tokens in one month and instead being able to split farming between 2 months and BF

Being part of this discussion in region chat, I think it'd be a pretty good idea- I'm pretty constantly near capped on tokens, but (since I can't buy ent logs, tragic) there's nothing I really need to spend them on aside from rarely stocking up on battle trinkets or void dust (and even that not so often any more)
(and being near capped on tokens means my item stacks start hitting cap, and then it's just painful when I get more of an item I'm already capped on while going through the grove because it feels like a waste?)

Meanwhile, grove res traits can be hard to come by, and there's some grove res traits that are just, vanishingly rare (mainly the fableds, since you pretty much need to find a nest of the species, AND get the right roll of the dice on which res trait it gives, AND not mind removing what might very well be the only vis trait on the pet, leaving you with 0tp on a rare theme.
Like. Currently there's only TWO tamed ryo with visible arcanist's blessing in existence, for example.

I think a very high token cost would be valid (I can reasonably imagine a price of 50k+ tokens for one scroll, honestly), and non-tradable would also be reasonable

There's 22 species, so maybe 2 species' scrolls on offer per month with all available at once for one month a year or something like that?

After reading the other thread relating to the issues with Vex drops recently made, I think a monthly grove shop could help with that too, Vexxar already has an exclusive guaranteed drop in quintessence of the chosen, so why not give it a dual use as a sort of pity currency? You could have a monthly cap of buying 1 rikki egg or an avi held item for 4 quintessence or something similar, that way there's actually a progression you can make instead of praying for rng to be kind.

I think Raika's suggestion is interesting. Giving another use for the quintessence could drive more users to attempt Vexxar.
I know a few of us are item collectors and the attempts and forging with the quintessence are enough, but once we complete those sets the extra drops would become kind of redundant unless someone wants to buy the items.

If we introduce it as an alternative currency for a monthly Lost Grove shop that rotates, it makes the item a more usable currency. Definitely agree with this one, and I think making trait extractors or Lost Grove restricted scrolls available there would be smart.
