Hi, I noticed the MOTD on the new hatchery page is appearing as a marquee.
Reasons it is bad:
(1) The scrolling text is difficult to read and click on regardless, especially for long messages like the current one.
(2) It goes against web accessibility guidelines.
(3) I personally have eye sensitivity-- it is very distracting and genuinely gives me a headache.
There is a reason marquees are nowadays just found on sketchy pirating websites and tacky pages with a lot of ads (or used for small bite-sized bits of text at a slow speed). Please don't make this the new normal. I worry it is going to be used across all of the newer pages.
Proposals:
(1) At the very least, if you must keep it, please slow it down.
(2) use a static MOTD as there is on the old style of pages
(3) have a popup in the bottom right, styled like the tutorial with Jinxie at the start of the game, that collapses.
i'm not sure what changed it on the browser i predominately use, but mine is just a static list that will switch to another static list with the remainder of the MOTD. when i noticed it, i definitely preferred it because its honestly just easier to read.

support. its neat to have a scrolling thing but its hard to look at and follow while its moving, especially with how much information is on it.\
edit: i'm almost certain its because of an aspect of one of the browser extensions not reading the page properly.

agreeing that I prefer the static to the scrolling version.
The static form means I can see all the things clearly and have immediate access to any links, no fuss or bother, just right there, boom.
With it scrolling I can't see all of the things at once, you have to wait for later links to get onto the bar even if you know they're there (might as well just ignore the thing entirely and go the way that takes more button clicks at that point because it'd be faster), and it's more visually distracting and busy once it does get onto the screen

100% agreed! Please return the MOTD to a static format instead of a scrolling one. For all the reasons already provided that really don't need repeated.

Agreed. Its hard to look at, and yesterday I was waiting for the sylesti brewing to scroll by, when it had already done so and I have to wait for it to come back again.

The message had been static on mine but now is moving. I agree that it would be much more practical for it to be static instead.

This is still a work in progress. I appreciate the feedback thus far.
I have a few more ideas still to work into the current iteration that I would like to code in first before I abandon the idea. There are multiple core issues with the original MOTD format that make it obsolete at this point and I have no wish to continue it as it operates on the old pages. I desperately need a better format of delivering the MOTD. With the new layout that the Hatchery page uses, I felt that the space in the banner up top was a perfect spot for a new style of MOTD.
As I said though, still a work in progress. I have a few things I want to incorporate into it that I think will make it more palpable for everyone.
