I have uploaded my pricing guide onto SkyDrive so that others may view my guide...and it helps me keep my pricing consistent!

Maybe this will help out Sylestia's pet economy and help newer players find out what they want/need to save up for?

Hmm. That never occurred to me. Perhaps just add the Holiday bonus on to it?

I think if everyone stuck to a pricing guide the economy would stabilize.

I propose that we create a thread for this purpose? An "Estimated Values" thread, or something of that nature. Players can come ask what something is worth and get several different points of view from different players of different seniority regarding what they want priced. Answers can be debated, prices can be given more uniformity, etc! This is a successful feature on some other sites I frequent, and I don't see why it couldn't be successful here.

I've thought about this before. I was thinking before of a general thread that asks what something is worth including avatar items. I worry about accidentally overcharging on avatar items. But I'd understand wanting to make a thread that's more specific than that.

So I like the idea of making a "What's it worth?" thread, as one thing that encompasses all items or if there's separate ones for pets and items. Actually, if they're separated, it would be nice to have in both selling areas of the forum.

That might be way cool, actually :O I like the idea of two separate threads.

The problem that worries me most involves the potential conflict regarding the prices themselves; i.e one player says 50k and the other says 10k. Sylestia doesn't have a very solid price guide, so there's a lot of room for sway in either direction, esp on things like fabled species.

Additionally, when I asked about this on the region chat, the possibility of older, more "authoritative," so to speak, players taking charge and more or less dictating the prices of things was brought to my attention. Upon putting some thought into it, I decided that that's a valid point :O Because again, everyone charges different prices for everything, and I'd be sad to see only a few peoples' input become the bottom line.

This is why I asked people to put their pricing guides here. Perhaps we can all look at each others guides and adjust so that there would be a bit of a median price to go by.

I understand some people won't like this and that others would rather not even look at this, but it's an idea on how we can keep prices some-what fair but not have them so cheap that the items/pets we are selling are worth nothing.
