Been seeing a bit of talk about dreams on the Off-Topic Discussion. Anyone else have random dreams that feel realistic enough that you still feel it when you wake up?
Like for example:
When I was younger I had a weird dream that I can't remember anything but a single part of it. The only part I remember was that I was on some road in the middle of some town running towards...something. But I had fallen in the middle of the road somehow on my back with my hair above me. Each time I went to stand, a vehicle appeared out of nowhere and ran over my hair, pulling it each time I went to stand. I woke up and could still feel like my hair was getting pulled. Still have no clue what that was about.
A better example:
Trigger Warning: Brief mention of death and guns.
I'm a huge The Walking Dead fan. When their season with the Prison and the little pig-caused virus swept though and started killing people, I had a dream where I was in the prison courtyard. There were two picnic tables. I couldn't hear and see any walkers, but I could barely see part of the fences where we were. It was me sitting on the table part of one, Carol standing up chatting with us, and one of my classmates sitting on the other table. He had caught the sickness and was talking about how he was feeling a little ill, but he always felt better after eating a corndog (no idea.). At some point, he ended up dieing suddenly. I had stood and Carol kept trying to get me to be the one to shoot him before he turned. She handed me her gun, but I couldn't do it. So we both turned our backs and were talking, with her still trying to get me to be the one to do it. He suddenly re-animated and crawled to us without a sound. He ended up reaching us and bit my right ankle, right on the achilles tendon (tendon in the back of the ankle that is a main factor of keeping us standing). I woke up right after and could still feel where his teeth had sunk in at. It was really weird.
Anyways, has anyone else had dreams like this? If so, feel free to share them! Ping me if you want, I'd love to read y'all's replies! Sorry it's so long.

Usually, if you physically feel something happening in your dream, that's probably your subconscious making sense of a feeling that you feel outside of your dream, you could've been bit by a bug, a pet, or have something hit you at night and your subconscious reasoned it with being bitten to fit your dream.
I've had dreams where there was a sharp pain in my head, and my brain for some reason changed the whole plot and I was diagnosed with some in-dream disease/tumor? But it turned out my head was just being impaled by my dresser, I'd fallen off my bed and stayed asleep in a position that pressed the top of my head into the corner of the dresser. and yes, plural 'dreams', it's happened several times lol.
Hopefully, this makes sense!

Actually, yeah! That does make sense! Thank you for sharing, too! I know there are some people who don't like sharing their dreams and what not.
Also, ouch. That must have been painful when you woke up. Did you hit the corner of it or the flat side of it? Either way, that must have hurt.

Well, it definitely wasn't the greatest way to wake up, that's for sure lol. It was the corner.
It kind-of felt like it was bleeding but it wasn't bleeding? Was probably bruised though and I just couldn't see, the first time it happened I woke up at 3:00 am and just couldn't be bothered, but I guess I started to become a heavier sleeper over it? Doesn't happen anymore now that I have a little tent-thing around the head-side of my bed so I haven't thought about it in a while.

Ouch. It probably was, tbh. I'm surprised you didn't have a goose-egg on the side of it. Still, at least it hasn't happened recently. Lol.
