It comes off cleanly in a small pile. Looks like the stuff in spiderwebs, but it's neater and the filaments gleam golden in the late afternoon light. You look up to see a tiny creature that you can't make out the details of zipping through the trees ahead of you, leaving the gold threads in its wake.

You dive under the table just as an ominous roar comes from the weapons room, seeming to shake the entire place. You see the black creature leap into the room you are in, but the chairs and table seem to be repelling it. It growls at them and paces around, but doesn't come any closer.

Thinking this was the creature to leave the sticky stuff, I burst after it. Is this a bad idea? Probably. Am I still going to run after the thing? Yes.

It makes a creaking, metallic noise, and begins to climb upwards, hopping from tree to tree like a wall-jumping character in a video game.

You end up back in the forest, exactly where you were standing. The Avia is now on the ground next to you and glares at you.
