Tugging the arm seemed to make her pull against your magic more.

Tenebris hissed in concentration and yanked it even harder.

Uh oh. Was the limb away from the body? Tenebris tapped his shoulder, indicating Excitium to get on. "We're leaving!" He stretched out his powers. It was only an arm? He used his Marionette senses and tried to go in the direction of the arm.
