Tales of Old
The noises of the town buzz around you, people milling around. It was still the crack of dawn, sunlight barely pouring in through the frosted windows. Snow paved the streets as you looked down on the town, lights were still on in houses. The workers almost always woke up at this time. Outside of your room, the servants bustled around the corners, also starting work.

You were the child of one of the eight elite magic families in Astaria. The tales of the deeds your family had done travelled around the whole country, even past your borders. The fights between you and your siblings were constant, as your parents had yet to decide who would be the next to inherit the title of Ruler.

A maid knocked on your door. You saw her dip her head, "Your father is calling for you in the throne room" she ducked her head and backed out of the room before you could do anything. This could be the final moment.


Can I join?
I am trying a new system. Everyone gets two characters and can find objects by themselves instead of me controlling everything. I am putting a certain level of trust within the other person and I hope no one disappoints me by being a mary-sue op.

Rules

1. You must have two characters.
2. Don't be a mary sue and destroy my trust.. you can do this:
Narrator: You enter a field, hundreds of colourful plants were scattered a round, a few already picked
Roleplayer: They found a blue plant with purple swirls and recognised it as a basic soothing herb with their level 3 herbalism skill and decided to keep it, deciding it may be useful for later

But please don't do this:

3. Fights will be judged by me. Go all out of your moves but final say will be mine. You can't dodge an extremely good attack.

6. Must have a minimum of one sibling. if you have more, they will be roleplayed by me~

21. Repeats of magical powers are banned, so no two fires. i'll tell you if you need to change them in any way or just change them. If you give me the name of the magic like "electricity" I will then make the details for it under powers.

Magics
You create your own by giving me the name & type. Unsure? Use a Galvana or Mycena one.
Attack | Support | Defence | Healing


Shadow
A support type. It is mastered by Allucinora of Ethein. She can create the form of things with shadows and use them to trap or minorly injure others, also hide certain things in shadows. She may enhance the thief ability in another person. The shadows may also block some attacks. She can close minor wounds.

Marionette
An attack type. It is mastered by Tenebris of Adros. He may control any object or creature and use it to attack another person. He may enhance someones self-control ability. The thing may repel some attacks. The creatures may remove weak poisons.

Shape Shifter
An attack type. It is mastered by Kaea Eingard of Dreador. She may turn into any animal and attack using the animal/ creature she has seen before. She may enhance someones hearing. The animal will retain any damage when transformed, however she can change quick enough to dodge. By breathing on a wound, she has a change to stop infections.

Nature
A defence type. It is mastered by Casia Levanta Nebula of Ethein. Her plants can cause cuts along the body or trap something in a cage of plants. Her plants can block move attacks and she can summon them from anywhere where plants can live. They can also create binds for broken things.

Water
A healing type. It is mastered by Shavan of Vupraina. She can create water and control the water around her to wash enemies back. She can enhance night vision. Her water may also block some attacks. The water may heal stronger wounds and can fix infections, position broken bones back and soothe sprains.

Light
A support type. It is mastered by Orion of Friela. He can manipulate and draw shapes with light and even blind someone temporarily. He can trap others in cages of light and enhanced others ability to think and their intelligence. He removes travel sickness and can enhance others strength. He can stitch up some wounds with light.

Metal
An attack type. It is mastered by Kit of Vupraina. He can create metal spikes to come out of the ground and impale others. He can trap others within the metal spikes. He can also create a metal barrier to defend themselves using the spikes. He can also manipulate the metal inside of blood to heal minor wounds.

Sound
A healing type. It is mastered by Lara of Osna. She can send out sound waves to deafen enemies or blast them back. She may find objects or people using sounds. She also can move things. She can heal up open wounds and fix bones back towards as soothe others without the use of herbs.

Fire
An attack type. It is mastered by Travis Incendio of Tathiylia. He can burn opponents and send up flames. He can enhance the riding skill in another person. He can block somethings. He can burn some poison out of wounds.

Ice
A support type. It is mastered by Lisette Ariae of Osna. She may pierce opponents with ice or freeze them with ice. She enhances someone tolerance to the cold. She can create an ice barrier and freeze up minor wounds to stop bleeding.

Clairvoyant
A support type. Mastered by Matty of Achoyca. She may foretell another's basic attack. She can enhance the Swift and Bolt abilities. She is also able to set up traps easier. She has a chance to avoid attacks. She can also tell how bad a wound will be.

Necromancer
An attack type. It is mastered by Todd of Dreador. She can control the dead as long as there are corpses nearby to initiate attacks for her. She enhances observation. The dead can block some attacks as well as smell out infections.

Electricity
An attack type. It is mastered by Francis of Achoyca. He may cause lightning and electrocute someone at will as well as alight wood. He can enhance stamina. He may deflect some attacks. His electricity can restart a heart.

Stars
A defensive type. It is mastered by Selina of Adros. She may cause craters to appear in the ground and cause small meteors. She enhances hearing. She can teleport using stardust. She can escape most traps using it as well as dodge easier. She may de-infect minor wounds.

Wind
An attack type. it is mastered by Wolfgang Gold of Tathiylia. He can bring small tornados and strong winds as well as gentler ones. He enhances the bolt ability. He may deflect some attacks. He can blow out minor poisons in wounds.

Memories
A support type. It is mastered by Kaida of Friela. She can put someone in one of her or their own memories to trap or harm them. She can also take allies there. She enhances self-control. She may dodge some attacks. She can stitch up some wounds.

Gravity
An attack type. It is mastered by Alyssa of Adros. She can lift objects up and throw them at others, removing their gravity. She can make people unable to take the ground. She can stop some attacks. She can remove minor poisons.

Ground
A defence type. it is mastered by Karna Of Adros. He can cause large cracks in the ground. He enhances positive moods. He may trap things in the ground and make it get bigger or split. He can use dirt to stop infections in some wounds.

Illusions
A support type. It is mastered by William of Ethein. He can injure others using his illusions, but they msut be of something he's seen before. He can trick others or trap them using the illusions. He can block some attacks using the illusions. He can make a temporary bandage.

State Manipulator
A defensive type. It is mastered by Efrim of Achoyca. He can change the state of something and control it. He can trap someone in their own clothes. He can turn the ground into a liquid so others can not cross it quickly. He can stop wounds from bleeding.

Time
A healing type. It is mastered by Mia of Dreador. She can change the timezone of a certain area. She can cause people to fall into pits because the earth isn't there thousands of years later. She can destroy most attacks. She can turn back time where the injury was not there or fix broken things as long as she knows the time they were broken.

Poison
An attack type. It is mastered by Alex of Tathiylia. He can cause things to erode using his poison and cause others to go to sleep using it. He can also infect open wounds. He enhances swimming. He can counter some poisons in wounds.

Tathiylia
A country that believes in superiority. The difference between the richest and the poorest are extreme and the most obvious here. They train their warriors up to be strong, aiming for quality over quantity. Any citizens know their place and respect anyone above them greatly, taking advantage or the poorer. It is be killed or bow down and serve there. Fields for agriculture where the slaves can work surround the towns and villages, with few thinner birch forests.
The capital is Uspana

Ethein
A country with talent. magic is practised widely here and they share their knowledge broadly, aspiring to be the best. The authorities know everyone's every move and can limit citizens to certain rules. Trouble is crushed and the country is intelligent enough to stop any uprisings. They also make allies and are a lot more friendly. It is covered in thick forests and sunlight can not always be seen through the roofed forest.
The capital is Claunia

Adros
A country which lives in fear. Everyone is equal here no matter the race, age or name. However, no one knows who the authorities or royals are. If you cause trouble or try to find out, you disappear without a trace and you are never seen again. This country is mountainous with very few trees.
The capital is Lusmoistein

Osna
The place is bustling with people all the of time. It is a prime place for trading and transport. The citizens are very friendly and kind to everyone, they love having fun and often give away things for free. Carnivals and parties are hosted weekly, for they have light hearts and are welcoming. Stalls sell practically everything there and discounts are easy to get. The country is on the edge of the sea and has forests, fields and a small swamp.
The capital is Alfea

Friela
A country based very much around agriculture. They are diverse and have guards. No one knows anything about this country, as they keep themselves to themselves. no traders from other countries are allowed in, and very few traders allowed out from that town. You need a permit to leave and enter.
You may not eat meat here, it is forbidden. The area is fields and part swamp, with little trees. Animals thrive here, especially mythical ones.
The capital is Swuoh Shington

Achoyca
A country which is open for anyone to come, they are not disturbed if an army walks through. They are, however, also based in a thick forest and it can be hard to navigate. The citizens have created robotic fireflies which guide travellers along the roads to their destination. To the North, they do have a large beach. They are small compared to the others, with a lower population too.
The capital is Prievania

Vupraina
Everyone knows everything, it is the place of gossip and information. No one can walk in without everyone knowing who they are. Information is spread quickly and easy to learn in this place of colour. Most people can be bribed with sweet foods. Some will not give away information without you paying a price, however some will give it away easily. They are also skillful healers and some can revive the dead.
The capital is Lestrola

Dreador
Fighting runs through the veins of this country. They have conquered many lands before. The coast runs beside them as well, with large mountains and small islands dotted around it. They have jungle as well as a mesa. They have droughts and floods regularly and rely on stealing and fighting other countries for supplies. Their population is large.

The capital of Tathiylia. Here, the differences are the greatest. The place has slaves and servants working for them and abuses them greatly. It is a normal custom. Here, the strongest warriors reside and train up their apprentices. Blood sometimes splatters the streets as a slave is killed for disobeying.

Abilities
The object can be replaced by a scroll of ability learning.
Thief
This ability lets you sneak around and snatch things from others. It is hard to learn and requires a lot of practise. Thieves can be frowned upon and killed if discovered in places.

Glide
This ability allows you to jump high into the air and glide without the use of wings. It can lead to faster travel and the ability to cross borders. Countries can be suspicious of a glide-user and you may be forced to start the attack for your own town.

Swift
The owner of this ability can go at speeds so fast they are not visible for limited amounts of time. It exhausts the user, though.

Agility
Can be levelled up to level 5. It effects how quickly you can dodge and move.

Balance
Can be levelled up to level 5. It effects how quickly you can move without falling over.

Self control
Can be levelled up to level 5. It effects how you react. The lower level the more likely you are to act without thinking. This also includes your patience.

Strength
Can be levelled up to level 5. Pretty self-explanatory. The stronger you are the more you can carry and the easier it is to fight.

Speed
Can be levelled up to level 5. How fast you run or do things.

Stamina
Can be levelled up to level 5. How long you can run, fight, hunt or do any skills for.

Animal Skills
Humans is used as a general term for hybrids and all other species here.

Swimming
Level 1 - Can doggy paddle
Level 2 - Can swim 25meters
Level 3 - Able to do front crawl
Level 4 - Swim backstroke
Level 5 - Do 50meters
Level 6 - Survive cold lake water
Level 7 - See underwater
Level 8 - Hold breathe for 5 minutes
Level 9 - Rescue someone from ocean
Level 10 - Swim through whirlpool


Communication
Level 1 - Make basic indicating movements
Level 2 - Understand your commands
Level 3 - More advanced indicating movements
Level 4 - Communicate through companions minds
Level 5 - Can speak human


Caring
Can be levelled up to level 5. Effects how much something trusts them and how quickly they can heal someone.

Self control
Can be levelled up to level 5. It effects how they react. The lower level the more likely they are to act without thinking. This also includes their patience.

Strength
Can be levelled up to level 5. The stronger they are the more you can carry and the easier it is to fight.
