"I'm supposed to just...help around I guess?" Newt wasn't quite sure what to call the lady. Nicote might not have any regard for formality (he called 90% of the people he knew by nicknames he made up on the fly) but Newt had some respect.

The servant nodded. "Yeah. If you're lucky you get promoted." Most of the servants had tan skin from being outside so often

This wasn't going to go well. Newt was an albino. Which meant....he got sunburned pretty easily. One more reason he stayed indoors so much.



(I actually looked this all up. People with albinism may have vision issues, be more susceptible to sunburn, and other stuff. Occasionaly they have "colored" eyes but really when you examine it you can actually see it's not actualy fully colored.)

(Huh. That's interesting! I've only ever met one albino person)

Somehow Newt had the feeling they were thinking the same thing he was: albino person, no sunscreen, in the middle of summer. A recipe for disaster.

(Really? Huh. She was a friend of my cousin's, and she wore red contacts so I thought she was a vampire the first time I met her ngl. I was only eight, so...)

Some people really needed to use common sense.

Newt jsut stood there awkwardly. He still had his hoodie, which hed pulled up.

"Sooo," one of them mused, "are we gonna get back to work, or...?"

"Probably should." Another one said. "Waht do we do with this one though?" He nodded at Newt.

"Um....I can hear you guys yknow, my hearing aids are actually on...."

"Do what Master Kiran wanted us to do. We put him to work. We better let him keep his hoodie on though..."
