Without warning, the kelpies eyes turn neon pink. He slumps over like some sort of zombie, and walks away in some weird daze.

The kelpie is dead. His limbs are broken, his body dismembered. His head is several feet away from his neck, his mouth agape and his sightless eyes wide in fear. Theres no sign of what killed him.
