The bark is soft - that's good and bad.

On one hand, it'll be easy for you to dig in and get a good grip. On the other, the bark might fall off and make you lose your hold if you don't hold deep enough.

You manage to get to the next branch - it's about as thick as the one you started on, so it'll hold your weight.

There's nothing in the trees, that's for sure. Even if there was, it would've been scared off by now.
Scanning the ground, you see a small black blob pacing the ground below - horizontally, it's about fourty feet away. Squinting, you look closer - it's a small black cat.

The cat suddenly vanishes as you get to the last branch. Instead, a large dragon is there now. . .it noticed you. Now the dragon is gone, and the cat is back! Was the dragon just your imagination?
