"I purposefully jumped on and scared Riley. I hope Riley has a part of him that does like children." Jack says, waving hi to Asuriel.

Asuriel gave a small laugh. "Well, I'm sure he doesn't actually hate children. I don't want to speak for people, but I don't normally like children who are too much younger than you myself. It's not that I hate them, Ijust get worried I'm going to accidentally hurt smaller children, and I'm not always sure how to work with them, so I normally avoid them. I'm sure that's what it is with Riley. Of course I could be wrong," she nodded.

"He's not afraid to hurt smaller children. He threw me. But I'm fine! Don't worry." Jack says, taking in Asuriel's words of wisdom. "Also, I think you're really smart."

"None taken. It's better to be honest in all things. Though like Thumper says, 'If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all'." Jack places his hands in his pockets and kicks at the floor.

Jack nods at Cara. "Why wouldn't I be good? For dinner I believe we're having a soup. Sorry if you find a rock or two in it. I think I got all of them out of the pot." He thinks about it and shrugs, "Oh well. I've heard stone soup tastes good!"

Asuriel nodded "Either soup or stew. Seren's working, we got his leg bound. I think Nellie found some comfrey when we were foraging earlier, that'll probably get used. And I set some traps, so there might be some rabbit or squirrel."

(Ok let's skip to dinner, so they are all at the table, because an important plot point needs to occur.)

Nellie

"Dinner is ready!" Nellie shouted, carrying a large pot of stew, big enough to feed them all.

Tommy

Tommy ran to the table in excitement and hunger, ready to eat.
