Nicote was a little busy getting yelled at by one Alexander Demerit to help. But Ema ran out and stared when she saw the fire, freezing in place. This wasn't good for sure.

(Oh gosh that was abrupt xD)
Soren stumbled over from where he'd tied up the animals, his hair looking more gray-black than blond from ash and soot at this point. His fingers were badly burned and he was dizzy from smoke inhalation, but five seconds later and he would've been much, much worse off. He stared at the crushed ruins of the barn. Five seconds earlier and Alex would be alive.

Nicote finally got Xan to stop yelling/crying and came out. He left the boy with Ema and ran over to Alex. Well, more like limped. "Is she....?" At almost 19, he was technically one of the oldest here, even if he didn't look like it.

Silver held the little girl gently close,his smile wavering as he looked to Soren sadly with eyes brimmed with silver tears. In them a pleading to prove this a dream,to wake him up and to show that Alex was fine.
