Ethan looked up at Maxs, clenching his jaw slightly. He pocketed Moon's knife, watching Maxs' every move. He didn't trust that boy as far as he could throw him, which actually probably could be a few feet, but that wasn't the point

Lyla flinched again, but didn't scream this time. She saw Pheonix but didn't attempt any conversation. She just stared at him, her glasses slipping down the bridge of her nose

Phoenix stared back.

Peggi tried not to faint. She diid, however feel an asthma attack coming on. SHe felt for her inhaler...and realized it was in Phoenix's backpack. Great.
'GO find Phoe, Pery." she gasped.
Perr y took off. Peggi leaned against the wal.

Lyla heard something beating, and saw a pigeon enter the room. She just found another book and took it, pushing her glasses up. She had grabbed Wonder off the shelf, feeling like she could relate to Auggie in the book

Ethan noticed Peggy's breathing was abnormal, and he recalled very little about how to help people that go into panic or asthma attacks. He just said, "Hey, it's okay. Everything's going to be fine." He continued to speak encouraging words in a gentle tone, glaring at Maxs

Rune then looked at Lyla, who at this moment was apparently having an asthma attack. Wow. She didn't have asthma, but she did have a tiny bit of lung problems from her never talking.
