(Sorry about how late this reply is! Yesterday was awfully busy, and then I had a horrible head cold on top of that; I'm just now clear-headed enough to focus on Sacra.)

(Sacra is a world - kind of like a continent, really, but you're not able to leave the continent /shrug/. There are monarchies, yes, in certain places - such as dwarven clans. Dwarven clans usually operate under a monarchy, orcs are an anarchy, elven tribes are unique because they're usually theocratic, etc. Human villages are usually under a sort of mini-democracy. It's basically different, depending on where you are and what sort of beings you're with.)

After safely placing your bag down a little bit away from the edge of the water, you approach the edge of the water, some remnants of waves splashing up against your shoes. You now had a slightly clearer view of the thing that was splashing in the water. It didn't seem to you like it was drowning - there was no crying out, or panicked noises. The creature was definitely some sort of beast, too, but it was hard to tell what it was because of how it danced about in the water.

What do you wish to do?

a) Call out to it
b) Get into the water
c) Throw something
d) Dig in the sand
e) Look for seashells
f) Leave the ocean
g) Other

You call out to the beast, and for a moment, it stills. You see its head turn towards you, and though it's still far away, you can see hints of black. The beast begins swimming back towards the surface, and as it gets closer, it looks distinctly feline to you.

What do you wish to do?

a) Say something
b) Attack it when it's close enough
c) Run
d) Stand still
e) Leave the ocean
f) Other

The creature reaches standing level and by now, you could clearly make out that it was a tiger. It reached the edge of the water, dripping wet, and crouched down with a grown, teeth bared at you in test of whether you were friendly or not.

What do you wish to do?

a) Attack the tiger
b) Continue speaking
c) Give the tiger a piece of meat from your bag
d) Walk away slowly
e) Run away
f) Other

(Since you're now in a potentially dangerous situation, you are unable to simple leave the area until you've disengaged yourself from the scenario)

The tiger tilted its head just a little bit, but its canines were still showing. It breathed out harshly, and sniffed the meat you put down for a few seconds before tentatively eating it. This creature, you could tell, was more intelligent than what you'd expect from a tiger. It lifted its head and regarded you cautiously. It stopped snarling, though, and stood to its full height, no longer openly threatening you.

What do you wish to do?

a) Attack it
b) Continue speaking
c) Attempt to pet it cautiously
d) Pet it recklessly
e) Walk away slowly
f) Run away
g) Other

B) Continue speaking. "I wonder whether you understand what I am saying. Perhaps you understand speech, but you don't understand my language."

With a sigh, Arokara realized that this creature and it's unique way of speaking was becoming slightly tiring, but she supposed she didn't have the luxury of having her pick of guides. If this being truly knew where to find elves she could at least probably get some of the supplies she needed. She knew enough about the different types of elves that she wanted to stay as far away from the Moon elves we she could manage.

"If you could take me to the Sun elf," she said to the creature, squinting her eyes to try and get a better look at it, "I would greatly appreciate it. "
