Sonic was still looking after Knuckles. He was acting more recluseive then usual, a way he hadn't acted since....... "He's upset about what Chaos did 4000 years ago," Sonic concluded. "Or, thats part of it, anyway. i honestly thought he was over it, but then again, there are still other hedgehogs out there. Cant say i know how he feels," he passed the chaos emerald to Tails, and took the dark fox of his head. "You know what to do, Tails," Sonic said. Tails nodded and flew off. He looked at the dark fox and smiled. "Thanks for help Knucklehead last couple of days. Wanna go do something? Tails will be awhile, he's connecting the emerald to the Tornado. That's our plane, by the way,"

Knuckles saw the hedgehog zip pass him. But that didn't matter at the moment. What mattered now was protecting the Master Emerald, and that was just what he planned to do. When the claw grasped onto the stone, he lept for the wire that connected it to the scientist's ship, and attempted to break it. Then electricity from an unseen source surged through him, knocking him out semiconscious.

Knuckles continued his aimless wandering. He rubbed his arm, as if he could still feel pain from the multiple bad experiences he had with electronics. "I have got to stop playing with outlets," he mumbled.

Sonic stopped, turned around and rushed toward the fallen echidna. Sonic placed an hand on his forehead and quickly pulled it back, shaking it vigorously. ''He's on fire! What did you do, electrocute him?" Sonic shouted at Eggman. The moment was short lived, he heard a small click. he looked at Tails, ears flattened. The ground gave way beneath them.

Knuckles moaned, rubbing his forehead. He blinked a few times, trying to adjust his eyes to the dim lighting. "Are.... are you ok?" a voice questioned. "I...guess?'' Knuckles replied. he recoiled a bit when he saw the hedgehog walk up and hold out a hand. Knuckles shoved it away, getting up by himself. he looked around and then back at the hedgehog, the fox standing behind him. Knuckles kicked up some dust nervously. I'm dead. That's what it comes down to. I'm injured, I'm surrounded, I can hardly see, I'm DEAD. He repeated in his mind. The hedgehog just tilted one ear questioningly, "umm... my name's Sonic, and this here is Tails. what about you?" He asked. Knuckles considered his options. Should he answer? Well it couldn't hurt, they seemed friendly enough. But... betrayal. He looked at the duo now. "Can I trust you?" He whispered. Tails didn't seem to hear, but Sonic shrugged as if to say "That's up to you,". The echidna straightened and smirked. "Knuckles the Echidna, just call me Knuckles."

Knuckles stopped nearby one of the island's larger waterfalls, the mist collecting in droplets on his fur. Looking up, he noticed a small ledge jutting out of the water flow. He took a few paces back, ran a little ways, and latched onto the cliffside. he proceeded to climb, not caring about getting a little wet. Unlike certain hedgehogs I know, he thought, shaking his head and smiling.

Eclipse nods She wants to have fun. She already had told Rex and lily to follow knuckles to make sure he was alright. Its been a long time since shes done something fun and Chaos wanted to as well. Again they were kids after all they want to have fun to!

The ledge was about 3 yards across from Knuckles now. Now on a normal day, he would have been able to make the jump, But the wind was blowing against him today. Knuckles missed this detail and jumped, expecting some lift. And missed. And hit the water with a splash that went up about 20 feet. He dragged himself to the shore, shaking water off his fur. "Idiot," he told himself. Good thing nobody saw that.

Sonic looked at the sky, tapping his foot. He tried to think of something he and the fox could do. And idea popped into his head. "Hop on," he said cheerfully.

Eclipse happily jumps on the blue hedgehogs head [onward blue steed onward to victory...pfffttt hahahaha] Chaos remarks in her head. [[Chaos that was just so dumb...but funny.]] Is her response.

Lily and Rex were worried when knuckles fell but breathed a sigh of relif when he was fine. Watching knuckles was a little worrying but for mom they could do anything.

Sonic noticed the fox grin. "I didn't do anything funny, you know," he commented, taking off a a "decent" speed (119 mph). "So, you live 'round here?" he asked, trying to make the light mood even brighter.

Tails opened the side of the plane, peering inside. he would have to rewire the secondary and back up engines to a small compartment inside the plane. he pulled out a pair of needle nose pliers and set to work. he looked at the chaos emerald from time to time. The red glow was a little nerve-racking. Tails just shrugged and turned his attention back to his task.

Knuckles finally got most of the water out of his fur (key word being "most"). "What am I doing?" he sighed, getting up and walking off.

Eclipse chirps and nods her head. She litterly had no other place to go. That planet that was almost completely water she kinda liked but she choose this one to live on. She does like both humans and mobians so win win? Well at least that annoying parrot is not around.......she left her magic bag at her home......well at least only she can open it but still...she barks and motions toward the direction of her home.

Sonic understood, curving in that direction. "Tails is from West Side Island, bout 3 hours flight away, assuming the winds are good, which they usually are. I usually stay there to. Knuckles usually doesn't leave this island without a good reason, though he will with a lot of convincing," he said, then added, "sometimes," he tried to get a good look at the fox thing. "How much farther, do you think?"

Red counts down and barks to tell him to stop. she smiles happily she finally knows the two tailed foxes name. Tails hmmm nice name she likes it. Her magic bag works like a um... Its Alot bigger on the inside but she has 7 Magic trunks in her bag One was a house trunk,Two were greenhouse trunks,One is a potion lab/science lab trunk, the next one is a storage trunk,After that the trunk is a energy trunk, And the last one is library trunk. She dosen't have alot but she has pack rat tendicies and collected seeds from all the herps,fruit,chao fruit, and vegetables on this island. she also collected Dna from Rabbits,deer,and various fish.One of her species main job was preserving other species dna...she just choose to perserve ones that she eats...or likes. (You choose favorites alot huh?) ((I seem to chaos but most of my lifes been spent trying to stay alive...oh and those king salmon and other salmon were starting to be badly endagered.)) she already cloned several of em how they get up here she don't know but they do and well at least she had increased the salmon population a little. she should build some more trunks like ones for any pets she gets and several to breed animals...hmmm maybe in a few years.

Sonic slowed and made a u turn (all that momentum''s gotta go somewhere). "Over There?" He asked, gesturing to a good sized borrow.

Knuckles set his gaze across the rainforest, sweeping the treeline. Once again, he was back at Mystic Ruin. Even if Eggman had been quiet for months now, (now, if Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, were honest with themselves, they were long, boring, and uneventful months.) it was his job, his vow, his.....
