Even after more than a year of Sylestia, I still count myself as a newbie. Probably because I never go on chat and when I do I end up lurking more than I chat.
Soo . . . embarassing newbie stories:
I started my first breeding project around September last year. It was a four-vis Qit project, and I was a total newbie at everything. I used four regular Qitari essences to generate two pairs of Qits that had two carried traits. My plan was simple: breed each pair over and over again until I had two Qits with two visible traits each. That was BEFORE I found out about carried traits. I bred the first two Qits, then was confused when they didn't have any traits whatsoever. I didn't realize that you had to have sylestis tested before you could see carried traits, so I would release any that didn't show any. Fortunately I trashed the project before I got frustrated enough to go bug someone about it. That would have been embarassing.
