I normally just get gifted the item as apposed to the cash, but it is nice when I've earned getting something, or when some one is just gifting me something. The most common gift I get is books *loves getting books*. It's because of gifts that I've got my nice collection of how to draw books, and some of the novels that I own.

I prefer to have physical copies of my books, and thankfully most of my art books are perfectly fine for pretty much all ages. I only have a few that I would say they are better suited to older teens and adults, but it really depends on maturity level of the individual.

When I was in I think it was 5th grade I was reading at a 9th grade(freshman in high school), so I was generally allowed by my mom to have more advanced books IF I was interested in them.

What kinds of books do they let you have? I may have some suggestions that you may like.

I've tried some kind of hard ones like Sherlock Holmes vol 1 and 2 last year. Somewhere in vol 2 I decide the text was just way too painfully small so I read the rest on the iPad. (It was like, font 6-8!) I mean, I like lots of books. Some that should also be like for 8th and 9th kind of thing. I really like mystery, lots o' fiction, and historical fiction. Like world war 2 thing. I also really like stories about horses. I've found myself in some school stories as well, also just normal, modern life. Like the Jericho Triology by Sharon Draper. It was a good, little trilogy. I mean, kids today understand a lot more in ways. >.> 3-4 graders reading hunger games, percy jackson, Harry potter, and all that. My parents don't really know what u read, but my mom has seen a few books and she doesn't exactly "like" them too much. >.<

I mostly read mysteries, or horror books. But I read mange, and some fantasy or sci-fi but I tend to be picky about those. The fantasy books that I read are mostly about a character called Drizzit Do' Urdon.

Manga is hard for me. :c I can't really see the text because it's small and I can't download it on my app. *sighs*

The manga I get has like size 12 text, so it's ok for me. Though I do wear glasses too which helps some.

Oh, that sucks. I'm glad he's getting better though. My mom got that pretty often, normally the walking kind.

I think some manga corporations have large print manga books. I think they look more like our western comics.
