The dragonet is attempting to fly when you find it. You watch with amusement at its efforts, when you realize that there's something you still have to figure out. Where did the map come from? All you found was the dragon, but it has to have had someone to drop a map without it getting burned.

Tyvern Villager: You wouldn't believe it unless you saw it. We arrived at our herb garden to find it all torched. Spent the entire time putting out the fires. Now our supplies are running slow, and they say a disease is making its way through the communities. Spreading trough the ground.

You realize that its a fairy building, but the sounds of activity come from inside. The door bursts open and two fairies burst out, flying frantically away from an angry tavern owner.

Putting the egg in my bag (assuming that I have one) and carefully wrapping it in one of my outer layers, i kneel down to the dragonets hight, and pick it up, letting it perch on my head so it can feel like it is flying. Looking at the map, I start to wander in the woods wherever the dragonet points to.
