A perfectly square opening has revealed itself in the ceiling of the cavern. However, it's so high above your head, you can only brush it with your fingertips.

Looks like it, although I don't know why it would be built so high, unless it was for really tall creatures or ones that could fly. Funny that you happened to trip over that exact spot.
