The Nyxies, for the most part, are ignoring her. Not in a rude way, just sort of in a 'you're not doing anything important to us so we don't really care that you're near us' sort of way.

It seems to depend on the thing she's trying to do, but most of the things work. However, it's refusing to do any of it near her- all of it is appearing next to and/or coming from the Nyxie.
