luna looked at him like he became an angel over-night. "yeah... right. anyway, why are we camping? i dont see a reason to, unless you just wanna look for owls." she laughed, stopping to pull some bark off a pine tree. "hungry?" she offered, passing nic half. (she isnt striking a relation-ship, she's just trying to make herself look like more than that weirdo in the group, and push nic to that position.)

"Were you seirously nto listening? We are not xamping or sleepign tonight because we need to find out what happened to Penelope." He didnt btoher takign the bark. "And stop ruining the trees for goodness sake."

" we are NOT camping. Most murders happen during camping. "

she shrugged, biting the bark. she nodded, chewing it slowly. "so.. we are finding penny? i got a message from her that she was sick, so she wasnt going to school. i didnt notice anything weird because of it.." she put the remaining bark in her bag, then she just fell silent, watching the ground. she saw so many prints; wolf, deer, fox, even what looked to be a mountain lion. she just fell into a sleep-deprived trance. she saw shoe-prints walking through their path, but she took no notice. she was too tired to care.

Nic gave ber a weird look. "Why on earth are you eating bark like a rabbit or a porcupine? I wasnt aware you were part animal."

she sighed. "its good, you know. try it." she took a bit out of her bag and passed it to him. "oak would kill for this. he loves it. i prefer dark chocolate, preferably mint, but it still tastes good.

"Scarlet, 18 is the legal age for a gun right? Because i need one right now and im still broke." Nic asked exasperatedly. Eating bark? Gross. Eatingit wilingly? Double that.

" I have a gun. In my bag. So...probably? "
