"Is there equality in your family or is it fight to the death? The rumours are too bothersome to unravel. Although, I suspect at least one family here who abides to those rules. It's rather disgusting, personally" the last part is a lie if she's good at unravelling lies, a look of disgust on his face.

She raised her eyebrow. "It's complicated I guess." (Yeah she's pretty good at it)

He gave a nod, "I see." she walked a bit further out and sat down on the grass, "Shrouded in mystery. I like that" he chuckled, "Reminds me of one of my late ancestors." he looked around, "Ah.. the outside is so gorgeous. If you think about it.. once this would've been a rotten, black mess. Now it is beautiful" he picked a daisy and started plucking the petals

"And you just killed a daisy so now that daisy is going to be a rotten, black mess." she said matter-of -factly.

He chuckled, "That's right, kitten. But, it is the way the world turns"

She nodded. "I guess you could say that."

"I have always had a fascination with leaves. They are beautiful, elegant and almost.. haunted in a strange, twisted manor." he didn't look at her, but at the sky. He was having to be patient, but his fingers were crawling to do business, get a bargain, do paperwork, anything like that. Even gamble if he could cheat to win.

(If your character is very observant) To most people she would have seemed to be just eyeing the flower, but her eyes were actually looking at his fingers. She frowned the slightest bit not sure if she should trust him. She dropped her mask back over her features not letting anything else slip past.

His fingers had fresh wounds that had dried, the blood not cleaned off. Unlike on his ears and around his neck, there was no golden jewelry on his hands. He didn't notice, as he was not looking at her, "That's what I like about you, kitten" he chuckled again, "silent and mysterious."

She laughed. Then suddenly thought of something. "So what is your name, I've told you mine, what is yours?"
